This Thursday we had a lively Zoom meeting – a good turnout of St Ives business leaders and representatives, all with something interesting to say and useful to know!
We are talking expert web / SEO managers, business IT support on standby, skilled clinical aesthetics practitioners, drone and video experts, marketing & printing extraordinaires, a proofreader & copywriter, an HR company, mortgages & financial services, gutter cleaning/replacement, high-end architecture, scanning systems and beyond.
Throughout the jam-packed meeting we shared countless collaborations between members including web design projects, social media mentions, poster design for town centre digital advertising, and podcast studio setup – what a productive bunch we are!
There were also some great one-to-ones through the week – including a chain restaurant meal that left two members wishing they’d gone to The Commute in St Ives centre – where we meet monthly for some of the town’s most perfect coffee.
Dan Hilsden from Seriously Digital gave a thought-provoking presentation on what makes him tick and what he does well: building and managing bespoke websites that work as beautifully on the phone as well as PC; SEO & Google Ads to drive traffic; using data-driven strategies; and honest, regular communications. We also received a valuable reminder about using short, sharp points on websites – to keep readers engaged in the copy and take action.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the benefits of a group such as Riverport – we value each and every member, and each has an exclusive sector slot. There are still sectors not represented within the group, and we would love to meet you.
