This week’s business networking meeting was a bubbly affair comprising all manner of the area’s finest business owners – sectors of which we can barely count. A brief shout out to some missed in previous coverage: Osteopathy, Estate Agency, Scanning Solutions, Garden Rooms, Groundworks, Flooring & Financial Advisory! There are still sectors to fill if you’re interested in joining.
Lively informal chats were had in the new feature breakout rooms, ensuring participants could make themselves heard in a less populated environment. One of our members is directing what looks to be an amazing show – 9 to 5 at the Burgess Hall in May – so get yourselves there!
Next up, as usual everyone had two opportunities to speak to the group – initially to introduce themselves / their businesses and the types of leads they are looking for, and secondly to update the group on how they’d utilised the skills and services of other members through the week – highlighting leads sourced, works completed, 1-to-1s had and partnerships in pipeline.
One key update from Riverport is that we have completed works on our podcast space which has already been used successfully [Riverport Business Club – YouTube] and can be used by anyone, member or otherwise.
This fortnight’s 10-minute presentation was given by Colin O’Reilly, owner of Green Room Gardens – with over 20 years’ experience across garden creation from ideation through to implementation and maintenance, landscaping and garden room builds of any type. Colin, who has exceptionally high standards (reassuring to know) loves to create show gardens and can manage all aspects of this from paving and walling through to stunning flowerbeds. It would be remiss if we didn’t mention the 25-50-year longevity of these rooms.
Green Room Gardens also has a fencing sister company, partners with a tree surgeon, and is ‘branching out’ into Christmas trees! See what I did there…
