Today 27 business owners and representatives made their way on a dreary Thursday morning, to the fabulous Commute Café on Broadway in the beautiful market town of St Ives, Cambridgeshire. https://www.thecommutecafe.com/
There was small talk and very good coffee, together with a thriving community spirit. We started off with introductions due to seven newcomers and all spoke briefly about our companies, offerings, immediate aims and long-term goals.
After this we discussed a business showcase event we are planning on running later in the year in St Ives – everyone was asked their opinion on whether this should be B2B (business to business), B2C (business to consumer), open to non-member businesses or member only. Our focus would be twofold: run an event which is of genuine interest and use to the local residents whilst promoting the members’ own businesses.
Many ideas floated about! We chatted in a group about how should it be marketed and researched, and a few of us will now get together outside the meetings to follow this up and build a plan.
The club meets every week, either online or face to face and this was one of our relaxed café meetings which brings us together for a coffee and conversation.
All in all, a very productive morning with a diverse, friendly group of Cambridgeshire’s finest.
See you online next week!
