This week Riverport had its meeting via Zoom – 21 businesses representing so many diverse sectors: digital (web, social media, CRM and videography); writing, printing and publishing; events and hospitality; careers and HR; professional cleaning; flooring; architectural; drone operation; mortgages; insurance and more besides!
After discussing the age-old problem of how to get a teen out of bed (with some ‘interesting’ solutions identified!) next up was the upcoming round table event on data collection and analysis – with a view to adding value to our businesses.
Introductions and contributions followed with numerous members announcing inter-group collaborations and business wins – inarguably proving the benefits of such a network.
Finally, the bi-monthly 10-minute presentation was given by Caroline White of the HR Dept. She delivered a fantastic analogy of business ups and downs, likening these to a game of snakes and ladders. Needless to say, the business that used an outsourced HR provider such as hers won hands down – due in no small part to the transformative impact of risk mitigation.
The HR Dept take care of all aspects of managing HR from hiring, contracts and bonus schemes right through to disciplinary measures and redundancy. See our members page for contact details. https://riverportbusinessclub.co.uk/club-members/name/the-hr-dept-cambridge-and-north-herts/
Next week it’s our ‘big’ meeting at Zest Café, One Leisure, St Ives – two+ hours of coffee/tea, meet and greet, intros, short presentations, an outstanding English Breakfast and chatter.
